| The Called to Common Mission agreement with the Episcopal Church continues to generate much discussion. This proposal was approved in the summer of 1999 by the Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and was approved July 8 by Episcopal Church delegates. [More on the approval] In response to widespread interest on the part of the Lutheran community, the Seminary faculty has developed a list of commonly asked questions about Called to Common Mission -- and a set of answers to those questions. If you have additional questions for consideration, email us at ccm@ltsp.edu. The questions and answers, based on informal listening and research, were prepared by the following members of the LTSP Faculty: Erik Heen, Philip Krey, Gordon Lathrop, Paul Rajashekar and Timothy Wengert. They are made available to the public as part of LTSPs commitment to foster Christian Ecumenism. |
