Men in Mission

Fishing, Faith and Stories to Tell
A time of insight and sharing with Bob Burkhart, pastor and fly fishing expert

April 19, 2008, 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Bear Creek Camp

Fishing gear, including Bible

Many men are interested in fishing. But did you realize that Jesus began his public ministry by telling stories about fishing? On April 19, enjoy the rustic setting of Bear Creek Camp and Conference Center with other men. The day will include:

  • Worship/reflection on how Jesus began his public ministry by talking about fishing.
  • A walk to the lake to observe a demonstration of fly fishing.
  • Return to the lodge for discussion and lunch.
  • Learn how stories reveal who we are and how we reach out to others.
  • Share your faith journey and what it means for spreading the Gospel today.
