Seminarian receives Joseph Quinton Jackson Scholarship Celebrating with award-winning seminarian, Preston Thompson, Jr., are, from left, Lynette Harrison, the seminary's associate director of recruitment and development for the Urban Theological Institute; Dessie Burgess, former Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Germantown Scholarship Chair; and the Rev. Dr. Eloise Scott, the seminary's director of student services, evening program. The Joseph Quinton Jackson Scholarship fund was established in honor of the Reverend Joseph Q. Zion Baptist Church of Germantown, Philadelphia, PA, for many years. That student is preparing for ordained ministry in one of the denominations represented in the UTI constituency and must have completed a minimum of ten course units. Any person or congregation can give to the J. Q. Jackson Scholarship Fund and additional gifts and contributions to the Scholarship Fund may be given at any time. Checks should be made payable to LTSP with "Rev. J.Q. Jackson Scholarship Fund" written in the check memo line. Send your gift/contribution to: LTSP Foundation |
