Lutherhostel Presents:

"Lord Give Us Peace" - How in the World. June 20-24, 2005, Philadelphia, PA

A Five-day Residential Learning Experience for Older Adults

The Association of Lutheran Older Adults presents a five-day exploration of the life and ideas of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and quests for "peace of mind" and "peace of soul" in our complicated age.

Our church has pioneered in relief work throughout the world and at home. 2005 is the 60th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who brought new insights to Lutheran faith and the world. How do we put such things together in our day? Several fine speakers will help participants explore the issues from a church, cultural, social and biblical perspective. Highlights will include visits to the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia and the Mercer Museum in nearby Doylestown, PA, featuring displays of 40,000 tools of early American crafts and trades.

Accommodations for the five-day program are in individual air-conditioned individual rooms rooms, with private bath, on the seminary's historic 14-acre northwestern Philadelphia campus.

Program cost: $395, including accommodations and meals; $295 commuters, including meals. Registrations received after May 20, 2005 will be accepted as space permits.
