Student Awards

Philadelphia, PA (April 26, 2005) - First year seminarians awarded scholarships and honors today are, from left, Kurt Lammi, Rebecca E. Mentzer, and Mark E. Parker, with Seminary Dean J. Paul Rajashekar, far right. Kurt and Rebecca were awarded the Roy L. Winters and Sarah Stober Winters Scholarship. The Winters Scholarship is awarded to a member of the first year class who demonstrates both academic excellence and potential for ministry, with consideration also given for financial aid. Mark received the Dr. and Mrs. William Reifsnyder Leadership for Mission Award. This award, provided by Dr. and Mrs. William Reifsnyder, active members of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, PA, and long time supporters of our seminary, is given to a first year seminarian considered to have exceptional leadership potential and academic merit. Congratulations to our award recipents!
