Saying thanks…

Photo - described below
Leaders and supporters of LTSP enjoy a moment together during a fund-raising luncheon in the Lehigh Valley June 14. From left are Rene Diemer, seminary registrar and LTSP President Philip Krey, Lee and Dolly Butz; Robert F. and Barbara Blanck and Jack and Patricia Bradt. Lee Butz of Alvin H. Butz General Contractors and Jack Bradt, a seminary trustee, organized the luncheon to say thanks to Northeastern Pennsylvania donors for their support of the capital campaign and also to urge additional support. Robert Blanck chairs the campaign initiative. At this writing, more than $1.4 million had been raised toward a Kresge Foundation challenge grant to support the construction of the $20 million Brossman Learning Center. If the seminary raises $1.7 million in the challenge by September 1, Kresge will provide a $650,000 gift to help underwrite the cost of the new center. Completion of the center construction is anticipated by about July 15. The Butz firm is the general contractor for the center.
