 The Public Face of Discipleship
Benbow Hall, The Brossman Center, LTSP, Philadelphia, PA
11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2006

St. John's Visiting Professor Dr. Larry Rasmussen framed his convocation lecture, "The Public Face of Discipleship," around four questions:

  1. Is there a non-imperial/anti-imperial discipleship?
  2. Are we sufficiently Trinitarian?
  3. Is there a "Green" discipleship for a planet in jeopardy?
  4. Is there a discipleship of mutuality rather than privilege?

Dr. Rasmussen then examined the Way, the Call, and the Practices of a discipleship which is rooted in humility and allows for improvisation in these "times of tumultuous change."

Listen to the entire lecture, including introduction by Prof. John Hoffmeyer, online.
