New compositions to mark Seminary’s
annual Easter Vespers April 8. Public invited.

Philadelphia (March 28, 2002)-New compositions by Seminary Musician Mark Mummert will be featured the evening of Monday, April 8 when The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia hosts its annual Easter Vespers. The event will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Seminary Chapel at 7301 Germantown Avenue in the city’s East Mount Airy section. The public is invited.

The service of evening prayer will include Mummert’s newly composed setting of "Joyous Light of Glory" (Phos hilaron) and "Four Psalm Settings." Anthems, canticles and organ works by Gallus, Vittoria, Pelz, and Durufle will fill out the evening.
