A spirited campus discussion on violence in the Holy Land was led the evening of April 10 by, from left, seminarians Nathan Pipho, Kathleen Brennan, and Terri Youngblut, and faculty presenters Dr. John Hoffmeyer (at the podium), Dr. Elizabeth Huwiler and Dean J. Paul Rajashekar. The roundtable discussion dealt with the question, "Is there a pathway to peace?" It featured readings from scripture, prayer and appeals for prayers for peace. Thoughts were also expressed about Holy Land history and the current cycle of violence. The community urged each other to write political leaders appealing for imagination in the peace process and supported the recent appeal for such efforts voiced by Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
