"Foolishness
of Preaching"
Some approaches, ideas and models for preaching might seem foolish at first, but they may also rekindle and renew a preaching discipline. Why not find out if something of value is in this theme for you? "The Foolishness of Preaching" is the theme for Preaching Days 2002, a June 10-12 event sponsored by the Academy of Preachers at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Key presenters are (June 10) the Rev. Thomas Grier Long, Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, GA; (June 11) the Rev. Barbara K. Lundblad, Associate Professor of Preaching at Union Theological Seminary, New York, NY, and (June 12) the Right Rev. Charles E. Bennison, Jr., Bishop of Pennsylvania for the Episcopal Church. For more than 15 years, Preaching Days has been gathering clergy from a variety of denominations to discover and explore fresh insights, enhance skills and share perspectives on preaching. For information on how to participate, contact the Rev. Rick Summy
at 215/248-6304 or e-mail him at rsummy@ltsp.edu.
