Commencement

A farewell picnic

Members of the 2002 senior class at LTSP gathered for a celebratory picnic hosted by the seminary and sponsored by Lutheran Brotherhood/Aid Association for Lutherans, soon to be known as Thrivent Financial Services for Lutherans.

Soon-to-be graduates enjoy a picnic chat. Sue Ruggles, center, is with Nelson Rabell, right, and Jeff Wilson.

The buffet "grub" furnished by Metz & Associates included hot dogs, burgers (veggie and beef), barbecued chicken and salads.

President Krey offers congratulations to seniors and urges them to "stay in touch."

President Philip D. W. Krey wished the senior seminarians farewell and urged them to remain involved in the future with their seminary. Pastor Michele Kaufman, president of LTSP's Alumni/ae Association, extended a greeting and association welcome. Greetings also came from Chris Duckworth, assistant director of the LTSP Foundation; Larry House, LTSP Foundation director, and Jan Elsasser and Jon Roth, representing LB/AAL.
