The Augsburg Fortress Bookstore In the fall of 1997, Augsburg Fortress, one of America’s foremost religious publishers, opened a bookstore on the Seminary campus. The new store is one of 18 in North America and Puerto Rico operated by Augsburg Fortress. The store is one of three Augsburg Fortress on a seminary campus in North America and one of two in Philadelphia. While the store has an academic focus, it stocks titles and products of interest to anyone concerned about education in the church, devotional subjects and such topical issues of the day as multicultural matters. Wagner College and the Upsala/LTSP Partnership This partnership originated between LTSP and Upsala College. When Upsala closed, the role of the college host was assumed by Wagner. The program exists to identify and support the development of persons of color or primary language other than English as candidates for ordained ministry within the ELCA. This partnership includes congregations, clergy and synods, all of whom work together to identify prospects for nomination to the program. Counseling, placement, other support services and service-repayable grants from the College and the Seminary are all part of the program. The end result enables students who qualify to pursue their undergraduate degree at Wagner and theological studies at the Seminary. Call 215/248-6304 for additional information. |
