Marcia Bell graduated from the seminary in 1989 with a Master of Divinity degree and says it is "good to be back." After graduating, she went on to serve two congregations here in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. Parish ministry was an exciting challenge for her. She loved the 12 years she spent serving as a parish pastor but now find that her new role as Director of Student Services here at LTSP is another fulfilling opportunity to serve the church. The Student Services office deals with many different aspects of seminarians' lives. New student orientation, the ELCA candidacy process, and international student issues are just a few of the many factors that prompt students to make their way to her office. Marcia
says she is grateful for the fine education she received at LTSP. Her
pastoral ministry was shaped in the classroom and the community, by
both professors and classmates. She hopes that in her ministry with
the students of today, she can help them as they prepare to serve the
church in the years ahead.
