New Students, Fall 2006

Ramon Collazo

Ramon CollazoSINCE I WAS A CHILD I FELT GOD PRESENT IN MY LIFE. In my youth I had participated in religious discernment retreats but always delayed the sense of call. In 1998 that sense of call came back in my life and I started a pre-theological study program at Santisima Trinidad. While there the sense of call grew stronger.

Having an associate's degree as an Electronic Engineer, I lacked the academic degree needed to enter in an MDiv program. In August 2005 I received a BA in Criminal Justice with a major in Forensic Psychology.

I met Rev. Jose L. Escalera, who spoke to me about LTSP and the Latino Concentration. Then I called Rev. Nelson Rivera, who recommended a visit to LTSP. After coming to the visit in November 2005, it felt like home. Every person on campus made me feel like it was a big, but very close family. Students, staff, and faculty are very friendly and always willing to help. Now my wife Marisol, my son Ray, and I live on campus and we love the community. We enjoy our extended family, the community of LTSP.
